About Us

Kristin is the girl behind the blog and likes the smell of a new book. She once went to the store and bought a new book because the book from the library smelled bad. She loves going to the library to check out books and goes in at least once a week to get a new stack of reading material. She is also a huge foodie and has a food blog called Holy Cannoli Recipes. Her husband is in the Marine Corp so she is always moving around a lot. Kristin is currently in Southern California and works at Joshua Tree National Park. However, no matter where she is sent to next, you will always find her with a book close by.

Marissa is a guest blogger on BSA and will be writing reviews when she finds a book that catches her eye. Her perfect reading atmosphere is picking up a book on a rainy night and sitting out on the porch wrapped in a blanket surrounded by candles and a cat on her lap. She prefers reading self help books, to learn as much about the human mind as possible or from time to time a humorous book lightens the mood. Marissa works in the fast paced radio industry, and enjoys being outdoors when it’s sunny in Syracuse. Kristin and Marissa have been best friends since their middle school days in 1999 and even though they currently live on opposite sides of the country, they keep in touch weekly.
